On May 25th, 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) will come into force, courtesy of our membership of the EEC.
Under the terms of these regulations we are required to inform you about your personal data that we hold, how it can be accessed, and by whom.
Permission to store and process your data.
We do send and wish to continue to send out offers to customers and friends. These offers have been sent to you at some point in the past, and you have joined our digital mailing lists.
In order to manage these mailings, we need to record personal data, which is held digitally. In order to continue sending you our offers, we must now ask for your permission to store and process your data for this purpose with immediate effect.

What is personal data?
Personal data is data which can be used to identify you. For the purposes of our mailings, this can include your name, address, email address and telephone numbers.
Additional details are held on our invoice database as a result of past trading.
Where is the data stored?
Your information is stored electronically on my office Dell laptop computer, backed-up Iomega storage disc, and some contact details are on my iPad & iPhone.
These electronic systems can only be accessed by one individual employed by C.A.Rookes Wine Merchants
How will your data be used?
Your data will only be used for managing our offers, issuing invoices and shipping/release purposes. At no time ever shall any of your information be distributed in any form to any third party. The only exception to this is when you have given permission for your details to be given to your recognised person for the purposes of the conclusion of a transaction.
Operating system & software. Windows 365 running Office 2016 with automatic updates
Security System. McAfee Live Safe with automatic update.
